Reasons to Avoid an Acer Aspire C27
Here are six reasons why you should avoid the Acer Aspire C27.
Grainy Display
The display quality of all-in-one PCs like the Aspire C27 makes or breaks them. Some, such as Apple’s iMac, are famous for their clarity and general quality. The Aspire C27, on the other hand, falls short of the iMac.
A large 27-inch monitor is included, which is directly integrated with the rest of the computer. However, the first of many reasons to avoid an Acer Aspire 27 is the poor quality of the display panel.
The display resolution is 1080p, which is insufficient for such a wide panel. As a result, there is a lot of stretching and whatnot going on in the display’s vertical space. You could solve this by acquiring a second external display. However, this is disregarding the underlying issue.
Poor Speakers

Another reason to avoid an Acer Aspire C27 is the poor quality of the speakers on the tablet. Acer chose down-firing speakers located on the rear of the display to keep unsightly protrusions at bay. A more common setup is to place a soundbar right beneath the display.
As a result, the Acer Aspire C27’s audio quality is subpar. There isn’t much bass response, and it can sound muffled if you place the display close to a wall. A soundbar, external speakers, or even a pair of headphones could help with this.
However, for users who like to keep their setup neat, this could be a problem.
No USB-C Ports
The Acer Aspire C27 has a plethora of ports, which are a valuable commodity in today’s laptops. Users looking for USB-A 2.0 and 3.0 ports will find two of each on the back of the display. Unfortunately, no Type-C connectors appear to be available.
Type-C connectors, which are ideal for attaching accessories and external storage, are becoming increasingly popular in computing. This, however, could be one of the reasons to avoid an Acer Aspire C27. You’ll need adapters or accessories that use the older Type-A connectors.
Lackluster 720p Webcam

Most laptops and all-in-ones include some kind of inbuilt webcam. With so much of modern life centered on video teleconferencing, it only makes sense to have something on hand to join in Zoom calls.
This is simply one of the reasons to avoid the Acer Aspire C27, but the quality of the webcam is poor. The result is gritty and lacks contrast.
As a result, you’ll almost certainly need to invest in an additional webcam of some kind to get things up to a more acceptable standard. Because there are only four ports available at any given moment, this will very certainly necessitate the usage of a USB hub.
Underpowered GPU
The Intel IrisXe is a decent GPU, but it lacks the capacity to handle more demanding tasks. Given that the Aspire C27 is just an Aspirelaptop connected to an external display, it’s hardly surprising that the GPU is inadequate.
This is only one of the reasons to avoid an Acer Aspire C27 if you want to undertake more difficult AI work or gaming.
That’s not to suggest the Xe has a poor GPU, but it’s adequate for driving screens and light gaming. If you work with AI or want to play PC games, you’ll probably want a separate GPU of some kind.
The Processor Could Be Faster
The Acer Aspire C27 is powered by an Intel i5 CPU designed for mobile use. On paper, this is a perfectly adequate CPU capable of handling the majority of workloads. However, when compared to the prices of other comparable all-in-ones, it appears to be lacking.
The integrated CPU is efficient, although it is prone to overheating and other difficulties. This can be a serious issue for such a neat device, as there isn’t much room for more robust heat dissipation systems. As a result, this is even more reason to avoid an Acer Aspire C27.
Better ventilation and a speedier processor, such as those found in mobile Ryzen chipsets, would go a long way toward making this a better all-in-one PC. As is, it will suffice as long as you do not assign it more difficult tasks.
Alternatives to the Acer Aspire C27
Here are three of our favorite Acer Aspire C27 alternatives. These are likewise all-in-one laptops, although they have a few advantages above the Aspire C27.
