Newer iPhones have a feature that allows users to temporarily or permanently remove apps from the home screen without erasing any of their data.

How to Hide Pages on iPhone’s Home Screen?
Starting with iOS 14, you can entirely erase a page from your iPhone’s home screen, in addition to hiding individual apps.
- Choose an area of the Home Screen and hold your finger there.
- Choose the dots at the screen’s base.
- To conceal a page, tap its circle at the bottom.
- Choose the Done option.
- To reveal a hidden page, just reverse the process. Then, use the App Library to easily locate apps across several pages.
You may configure the default location for downloaded apps in the Settings app. That way, you can avoid seeing them whenever you launch your iPhone.
- Choose Home Screen > Settings.
- Choose an installation method, such as Home Screen Only or App Library Only.

How to Hide Purchased Apps
Your App Store purchase history will still show any apps you have hidden or deleted, but this can also be concealed with a few more taps.
- Launch the App Store program.
- Choose your profile picture or initials at the top of the screen to access your account.
- Bought using a tap. Tap My Purchases if you’re a Family Sharing user.
- Swipe left on the desired app and select Hide from the menu that appears.
- Choose the Done option.
- If you accidentally conceal an app and then decide you want it again, you can easily reveal it by hitting the Hidden Purchases button at the bottom of your purchase list, finding the app in question, and tapping Unhide.
Apps that are hidden only on the purchase list cannot be uninstalled or deleted from the device’s main menu without additional steps being taken.
