Here are Warzone 2’s most recent patch notes. Since we know you guys care a lot more about buffs and nerfs than you do about huge fixes, we have reduced the patch notes to concentrate on the important balancing adjustments.
Finally, Warzone 2 is available. This includes swimming, ledge hanging, leaning out of automobile windows, and other activities. However, despite all the glitzy new features offered by the IW9 engine, the truth that possessing the finest weapon is what matters in a Warzone situation still stands. And because this is Warzone, all the balancing patches force the “greatest weapon” to change every other week.
We’ll keep you continuously informed about the most recent patch notes in this page with a focus on weapon balancing. The following information will also tell you how big the current patch is, when the next one should be released, and what the post-patch meta will look like. Let’s get going.
These Warzone 2 patch notes only apply to the BR, so take note. If you’re searching for regular multiplayer updates, check out the most recent Modern Warfare 2 patch notes.
When Is Warzone 2 Updated?
As was the case during MW2019, BOCW, and Vanguard, we anticipate that Warzone 2 will continue to receive weekly balancing updates on Wednesdays at 10AM PT (1PM PT / 6PM GMT / 7PM CET). Although seasonal upgrades are only released every few months, smaller “hot patches” can be applied immediately in response to critical bugs.
We will inform you if the weekly Warzone update’s schedule or date changes.
Warzone 2 Update (February 15 / Season 2 Update) | Patch Size
Because it contains all the Season 2 content, this patch will be quite large.
- PlayStation: TBC
- Xbox: TBC
- PC: TBC
It’s absurd to assume that the game isn’t larger overall on the hard disc, especially given how big theDMZis.

Warzone 2 Update (February 15 / Season 2 Update) | Patch Notes
Although we don’t yet have official patch notes, they did recently blog a teaser of what would be in the patch.
What to expect from the Season 2 patch is as follows:
a Gulag
Season 02 will begin with the return of 1v1 Gulag. With this modification, the Jailer will be replaced by the Domination-style flag control point, which was the original Warzone Overtime feature.
We have modified the Season 01 Gulag for better 1v1 fighting in order to make this modification available sooner, but we are also actively developing on a specific 1v1 map for future seasons.
We’ve also changed a few aspects of the Gulag experience logistically. Both ground loot and the player loadouts that they will spawn with have been reviewed. As the Circles advance, we’ve modified the pool to add Assault Rifles, Submachine Guns, and Light Machine Guns as Primary Weapons. Shotguns are no longer in the rotation, but handguns are still offered as secondary weapons.
The Gulag will give players more Cash if they exit the arena in first place. With the switch to cash, redeploying players will be able to recover a little more quickly.
Along with the previously mentioned higher victory Cash awards, the Gulag will now spawn Cash as ground loot to reward and encourage Players who are willing to prowl the arena.
Money Economy
We are balancing the Battle Royale economy in addition to the above-mentioned financial changes to the Gulag by slightly lowering the cash rewards for completing contracts. In addition, the lowest value of Cash piles from ground loot has been raised to $800 and from Cash Registers has been reduced to $500 (formerly $100 minimum).
Additionally, Cash is still available in Al Mazrah through ground loot, containers, and white Stronghold Supply Boxes, but it is no longer available in regular and legendary Supply Boxes.
The distribution of resources should speed up and improve gameplay consistency.
Takings & Inventory
We are switching from loot windows/menus to floating loot, which will now fall out of all containers in the world, similar to loot from supply boxes, as was revealed last week.
By cutting down on time spent exploring the UI and getting Players back into the action faster, this improvement is meant to quicken the speed of gameplay.
We were happy to see that the new Backpack system gives Players the freedom to adapt their belongings to a preferred playstyle or squad role. As part of our ongoing efforts to balance encounters, Medium/Large Backpacks will no longer be available, and players who have them will instead dump treasure from their Backpacks onto the ground. Every player will have the same backpack for the duration of the game, which will lessen the effect of accumulating equipment, killstreaks, and medical supplies. We’ll keep asking for feedback and delivering enhancements that make looting easier for everyone.
Loadouts
We have always paid special attention to loadouts because they are a crucial component of Warzones Battle Royale. The modifications that Players have seen since the release of Warzone 2.0 have ultimately been aimed at creating the most rewarding experience for the individual and the team while yet maintaining a demanding environment. As a result, we are introducing additional adjustments to how Players obtain all or a portion of their loadouts.
Perk Packages with customisable features will debut in Season 2! This feature will debut with a significantly smaller selection of possible Perks, which we might gradually add later on. We want to use this feature as wisely as we can, making sure that all of the Perks are useful and still viable/balanced options.
Primary Weapons will still be offered at Buy Stations, but at a lower cost, enabling players to use their preferred Weapons to pursue victory. We are still pleased with the inclusion of Loadout Drop Markers, even after carefully examining the price tag. In order for corresponding Squad sizes to quickly obtain their full loadouts, the cost of Loadout Drop Markers has been slightly decreased. Additionally, very rarely, while looting in Al Mazrah, players could come across one. The addition of a second loadout drop public event means that the drops will now take place on the first and fifth circles of each match.
Additional Alterations
Three-Plate Vests
We have changed the starting equipment for all Players to a 3-Plate Vest as we regularly assess the speed of combat encounters. Vests in different sizes won’t be available as treasure in the Battle Royale mode. Each engagement will start out feeling more reliable because to this uniformity. We’ll keep investigating the facts related to downtime optimization and enhancing the capacity for post-engagement recovery.
Movement
We’ve made several significant changes to movement that ought to help Players perform better in battle. Players will be able to break down doors while plating as they would while running beginning with Season 2. The movement speed while plating has been somewhat increased as a result of this update, allowing Players to reach cover more quickly when necessary.
Stations to buy
We’ve changed our strategy to make it simpler to access Buy Stations and their commodities. Spawning locations have been added or updated, spawns will remain static throughout the map, and Loadout Drop Markers have infinite stock at all stations. As always, we’ll keep an eye on the state of the economy globally and the supply of resources as we go.
Strongholds
Strongholds offer a unique gaming experience with a high payoff for those ready to take on the challenge—as well as for those looking to deprive Players of their rewards. We are dedicated to offering Players who choose to enter Strongholds a balanced interaction. Season 02 will feature significant improvements to A.I. combatant damage as well as changes to the prizes Players receive for completing Stronghold and Black Site missions.
As soon as the official patch notes are made available, we’ll update this page.
Warzone 2 Season 2 Meta, Post-Patch
In a nutshell, we continue to believe that the TAQ-56 and the Fennec are the ideal weapons to deploy in Warzone 2. If you don’t have time to read the entire overview of the Season 2 meta in this article, here are the builds.
AR: TAQ-56
Our preferred TAQ-56 build is shown below:
Slot |
Attachment |
Unlock Requirements |
Attachment Tuning |
Muzzle | FTAC Castle Comp | M4 to Level 19 556 Icarus to Level 10 | Recoil Stabilization (+0.65 oz) / Gun Kick Control (+0.25 in) |
Barrel |
17.5″ Tundra Pro | TAQ-56 to Level 12 | Recoil Steadiness (+0.40 lb) / Damage Range (+0.30 in) |
Optic |
Vortex-90 SZ |
VEL 46 to 28 | Default |
Magazine |
60-round magazine |
M4 to Level 17 |
Default |
Underbarrel | VX Pineapple | M4 to Level 19 556 Icarus to Level 14 | Hip Walking Speed (-0.40 oz) / Aim Down Sight Speed (-0.30 in) |
We really wanted to increase the range and recoil of attachments. With the 60-round magazines attached, this slows us down considerably, so we adjusted the VX Pineapple to forgo hip-fire advantages in favour of faster handling. We are left with a rifle that is rapid enough and manageable, with the main drawback being that it is ineffective for hip-fire. However, the majority of players won’t be hip-firing on Al Mazrah with an AR, thus we believe the tradeoff is effective.
The SZ Vortex 90 is being used by a rising number of professionals, which has completely convinced us in terms of optics. Flip-up sights aren’t typically used in Warzone, but the Vortex’s 3x and 1x are exceptionally clear and barely block any of your peripheral vision. However, if you adore the Iron Sight, think about removing the optic and simply putting a laser in its place.
SMG: Lachmann-Sub
Here is our current SMG:
Slot |
Attachment |
Unlock Requirements |
Attachment Tuning |
Muzzle | XTEN RR-40 | PDSW 528 to Level 13 | Aim Down Sight Speed (-0.90 oz) / Bullet Velocity (+0.70 in) |
Laser |
VLK LZR 7MW | STB 556 to Level 5 | Default |
Stock |
Recoil-56 Factory S by Meer |
Lachmann-762 to Level 4 | Aim Down Sight (-2.70 oz) / Aim Walking Speed (-1.70 in) |
Magazine |
Round Drum 50 |
Lachmann-762 to Level 13 Lachmann-556 to Level 12 Lachmann Sub to Level 19 |
Default |
Underbarrel | Agent Grip | X12 to Level 12 X13 Auto to Level 17 | Aim Down Sight (0.65 oz) / Aim Walking Speed (-0.25 in) |
This MP5 was designed to be a simple-to-use weapon for users of all skill levels. For this reason all of our attachments will increase range and recoil control, except for the laser sight. However, we may gain mobility with the laser without incurring any recoil. Change it out with a 1x optic like the Slimline Pro if you simply don’t enjoy operating lasers.
You may be curious as to why we opted against taking no-stock. The recoil penalty with the no-stock, even on SMGs, will just be too great for the majority of players. Instead, the stock we’ve chosen will still increase sprint speed, but it also improves recoil.
And there you have it ladies and gentlemen, an overview of the latest patch notes for Warzone 2, and what we believe the current meta to be. We hope you found it helpful.
Why not use the DMZ mode to level up some of these weapons?
